Don't miss the largest Filipino Market and Concert in North Texas!
Welcome to the Palengke! Whether it’s your first time or you’ve been coming for years, the Palengke Pals have a few tips to help you make the most of your day.
There’s a lot to see! Check the festival map and schedule before you arrive, but don’t be afraid to wander. You never know what food, performer, artist, or community organization you might discover. Not to mention Texas weather can be unpredictable. Bring water, dress comfortably, wear sunscreen, and take breaks when you need one. Comfortable shoes are highly recommended; you’ll want to explore!
Come hungry! From Filipino classics to sweet treats and local food trucks, there’s plenty to taste. Bring your appetite and take your time exploring the flavors of our community. Support local businesses when you can. Whether you discover a new favorite food, artist, organization, or small business, your support helps our community grow.
Don’t miss the Kapwa Concert! Make your way to the stage for The Kapwa Concert, featuring Filipino and Filipino American artists from across DFW. Check the schedule so you don’t miss your favorite act! It's an all-day event so plan accordingly.
Experience more than the food, try some of the activities! Try your hand at Tinikling, join a Zumba demo, test your Filipino knowledge with trivia, check out the art and sculpture exhibits, or take part in the community mural. The palengke is meant to be experienced, not just visited. Many of these are free of charge.
Meet your community, say hello to a vendor, introduce yourself to a community organization, or strike up a conversation with someone new. Lone Star Palengke is a place to connect, celebrate, and find your kapwa. It's also a good time to stop by the voter resources and registration activities to learn more about civic participation and resources available to our community since elections will be just around the corner!
Take photos, cheer for performers, share what you discover, and tag the festival when you post. Just remember to be respectful when photographing performers, artists, vendors, and fellow attendees.
Help us take care of our home. Please use designated trash and recycling bins and help keep the festival grounds clean. A little pakikisama goes a long way!
Consider carpooling with friends and family! While there are lots of parking spots, we charge per vehicle in order to keep bringing Lone Star Palengke admission free each year! We're expecting thousands of people every hour, so parking might be limited at certian hours.
Most Importantly… Come as you are. Bring your family, bring your friends, and bring your kapwa. Lone Star Palengke is more than a festival. It’s our community coming together in the heart of Texas.
